Cone Beam Computerized Tomography (CBCT) is a modern diagnostic technology that allows sections to be reproduced and three-dimensional images of the mandible and/or upper jaw to be generated by means of a digital sensor processed by a computer.

CBCT makes it possible to visualize in the most detailed and defined way not only the bony tissues but also the soft tissues the course of the inferior alveolar nerve, the maxillary sinuses, the gums and the periodontal ligament.
