Dr Federico Ausenda, graduated in 2013 in Dentistry and Dental Prosthetics, with highest honors, from the University of Florence and immediately focused his professional interests on periodontology, implantology and oral surgery.
After graduation, he moved to Boston (MA) in the United States where he attended Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM) to specialize in periodontology. In 2016, after a three-year course, he obtained the Certificate of Advanced Education in Periodontology and Implantology. In September of the same year, after being named among three finalists in all of the United States, he presented clinical cases and was the winner of the prestigious “Dr. and Mrs. Gerald M. Kramer award for excellence” award that the AAP Foundation gives to the best resident from all American graduate schools.
In 2017, he successfully took the examination to become a Board Certified Member of the American Board of Periodontology. He is one of only twenty Italian dentists who are Board Certified Members of the American Board of Periodontology, the only one in Lombardy.
Returning from the United States he was selected as the only ITI Scholar, and spent a year of further training at the George Eastman Hospital in Rome where he did clinical and research work for the ITI (International Team For Implantology) a world leading association in the field of implant dentistry.
Dr. Federico is a passionate clinician who loves to create lasting and trusting relationships with his patients but also with his students.
In fact, since 2017 he is Visiting Assistant Professor in the Department of Periodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston TUSDM. Since 2019, he is Adjunct Professor at the University of Milan polo San Paolo.
He is the author of several scientific publications and regularly lectures in Italy and abroad.
